Hey Smile Zone fans!
This Thursday, Jan 19th is "Luau Day" at Smile Zone. The Zone and staff will be decked out in our Hawaiian decor with fun music and treats for the kids. If your child has an appointment scheduled for this Thursday...let them wear their favorite Hawaiian shirt, surfer T-shirt, grass skirt or anything island themed. Have them bring their biggest smile and we'll provide some awesome island fun!

The Dr's and Staff here at Smile Zone would like to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New year!
Join us for "Pirate Day" here at the Smile Zone. We'll have all kinds of pirate gear and booty for all you young mateys. No walking the plank at this pirate ship, but plenty of Jolly Roger good times to be had by all kinds of sea worthy scalley wags!

The Great Halloween Candy Buy-Back It's almost that time again! Make plans now to be with us for our 2nd annual Halloween "Candy Buy-Back" on Nov 1st & 2nd (Tues & Wed) from 3:30-6pm. Halloween is coming, and normally it’s hard for your dentist to get excited about that day because of all the candy your kids will eat. However, this year will be different. Don’t you just wish that on the day after Halloween that your kids’ sacks full of candy would just disappear? Well we can help, and this is something we are very excited about! We're gonna buy the candy back from your kids. We’re not kidding! Sure, they can have a few treats on Halloween night and maybe even keep a couple more for later in the week. But we’ll take the rest of it and pay them for it! The candy will be shipped overseas to our courageous troops (who could sure use a treat or two!) serving our country in the Middle East . In return, we’ll give your kids $1 per pound of donated candy and a chance at some awesome door prizes. Did you know...Global sugar consumption for kids increases by about 2% annually and currently sits at 50 million tons per year, which means parents need to be very watchful now more than ever before. Too much candy can lead to hyperactivity and weight gain, as well as cavities or worse. In some cases, the wrong types of candy can also lead to broken teeth and damaged braces. Kids should still dress up, go out, have fun, and yes, even eat some candy. But after picking out the best of their stash, they will probably have about 5 pounds left, and nobody needs that much candy! Bring your kids and your candy in on November 1st & 2nd (Tues-Wed) between 3:30 and 6:00 p.m. Tell your friends : )

The Thunder's rising! In honor of the Oklahoma City Thunder's play-off run, Smile Zone is hosting "Thunder Day"! Our crew will be wearing their Thunder blue to show our support. If your child has an appointment while the OKC Thunder are making their Playoff Run, have them wear their Thunder gear for a chance to win some great Thunder prizes! |

Oklahoma Mission of Mercy

OkMOM is a two-day, MASH-style free dental clinic designed to treat the most pressing needs of patients that are either uninsured, under-insured or would normally not have access to dental care. At the event, patients will undergo medical and dental triage to identify their needs and then be routed to the appropriate areas of treatment: oral surgery, extractions, restorations, pediatrics and hygiene. We anticipate treating 1600 patients over the course of the event.
